Christians to gather in DC for prayer, fasting (OneNewsNow.com).
Notice that Lou as changed what the Bible actually says. John says that we cannot add to the prophecy as found in the Revelation. Moses said not to add to God’s Word period. Yet, for these people, who include Todd Bentley, John Crowder, and Patricia King, changing God’s Word depends on whether or not you ate pizza at midnight.
Christians gathering in the nation’s capital this weekend believe a “massive spiritual shift” in America could be on the horizon.
Evangelicals from across the country will be descending on the National Mall tomorrow (Saturday) for a day of fasting and prayer for spiritual revival in America. The gathering, dubbed “The Call,” is the brainchild of Lou Engle, a senior leader with the International House of Prayer.
Engle, former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, and Family Research Council president Tony Perkins will be holding a press conference today to speak out on issues of concern to evangelicals in the upcoming presidential election.
Perkins says “The Call” is not about political candidates or public policy issues. “Although we’ve got to be engaged, we have to realize that ultimately we need God’s direction and hand upon this country; that changing a political party or changing a candidate is not going to make the ultimate difference,” he argues. ”The ultimate difference is going to come when this nation puts in proper place its allegiance to God Almighty and to Jesus Christ. So this is a focused call upon Christians to pray, to fast, to seek God on behalf of the nation this weekend.”
“The Call” founder Lou Engle did not respond to OneNewsNow’s request for an interview. On his website, Engle says his vision for “The Call” came in a prophetic dream. He contends that “Joel’s Army,” or the church, has replaced Israel in God’s prophetic timetable.
