Since I am currently under ’scrutiny’ by various members or supporters of the travesty in Dothan, Alabama I have decided to post some more facts about this ‘ministry’ team that will soon invade like a pestilence that little town.
Let’s start with the ‘Christ Church International‘ who is ‘pastored’ by David Del Vecchio. Not much is known about them, however -
Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” (1Co 15:33 NET)
Taking that Biblical Proverb as an undeniable fact, let’s examine what kind of company they keep. On the CCI’s webpage, with is undeveloped, it mentions
Randy DeMain of Kingdom Revelation Ministries, Paul Keith Davis of White Dove Ministries and Bobby Conner of Eagle’s View Ministries will bring us the “Now” word in our 2nd annual Camp Meeting.
So, let’s examine these ‘ministers’.
Randy DeMain speaks of a personal testimony in which ‘God’ ‘assigns’ him an angel. I refer to this as angelology. Randy says,
Randy perceived with his open eyes the angel that the Lord desired to assign to him. His name was “breakthrough revival.” The Lord went on to explain to Randy that this angel had been assigned to Benson Idahosa until his death in 1998.
Look at this statement and measure it against biblical standards. First, when are we assigned angels of ministry? Second, Benson was a prosperity preacher whose miracles are have never been verified. He has been linked with Billy Graham, T.L. Osborn, Kenneth Hagin, and Benny Hinn. He has been known to utter statements like “my God is not a poor God”, “your attitude determines your altitude”, “it is more risky, not to take a risk”, “I am a possibilitarian”, “If your faith says yes, God cannot say no”. Now, do any of these statements align with the Bible? Can you really control God?
Of course, the only people that will claim anything good about of the above mentioned names and statements are those that adhere to the false gospel of prosperity. It is a shame that Randy DeMain actually has a checkout system on his website for those gullible enough to fall for his schemes. A quick review of his website will find very little mention of the gospel of Jesus Christ, or anything free at all. He has no doctrinal statements, no scriptural support, nothing. He asks for your money on nearly every page.
Returning to his church’s page, we actually find something of substance. Of the first things that I notice is a part of their vision:
To be a significant influence in our community, effecting a cultural shift to the extent of having a godly influence at every event, social gathering, every level of city and county government including all school systems through prayer and personal witness.
To what extent is this biblical? Are we not commanded to be in this world, but not of this world? Do we render to Ceaser what is Ceaser’s and to God what is God’s? Returning to there homepage, because they have yet to issue any kind of doctrinal statement (and yes, it actually matters) we see that they are offering classes in scam artistry in
Amazing Grace Bible Fellowship is offering 2 day intensive trainings for Supernatural Ministry including healing, prophetic, deliverance, and evangelism. Classes will include all three levels of advancement: 101, 102, and 103.
Is this biblical? Is a gift something you learn through advance classes? Or is witchcraft the correct term?
Turning to Paul Keith Davis of White Dove Ministries, we see some more ‘bad company’. Under the tab ‘Prophetic Words‘, we see that Mr. Davis has a lot of time to spend chatting with Bob Jones. We all know that Bob Jones is behind Todd Bentley. As you know Bob Jones is a disgraced false prophet who hooked people to this Angel Emma a long time ago. According to the Bio page, Paul and Bob have even written a book together.
Turning to Paul’s actual words, we read,
An angel came one morning and took me into the Heavenly realm and unfolded the functioning of the thrones and dominions resident within the soul (mind, will and emotions) of man. When Adam was originally fashioned, the Lord was fully enthroned in his soul. As a result of the fall of man, these departments of our human existence are given over to the fallen nature. The revelation highlighted the Lord’s redemptive plan and desire to be fully enthroned in the soul of man according to His perfect design with Adam. That is part of the prophetic mandate and high calling for this generation emphasized in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (and other places).
Again, more mythology that has been usually associate with the fallen Bob Jones and the now disgraced Todd Bentley of the Lakeland Outpouring fame. One has to wonder if Emma was behind William Branham as well. Turning to Paul’s ‘vision’ of the Fall, do you actually see anything there that is fully biblical. Mind you, the adversary will use bits of the truth to tell a grand lie. Paul Davis is first preaching to your a false gospel of angelology then moving into this Third Heaven business that Patricia King is heavily involved in. Finally, we see Paul teach a somewhat Gnostic view of the heavens and the soul of Humanity.
Looking at Bobby Conner we first see that he offers a ‘Word of the Month’ but it has been updated for sometime. One month in 2007, he wrote:
A well-delivered sermon or an expertly reasoned teaching is not enough; people need to see God’s power on display.
Can anyone really imagine Paul, who delivered nothing but sermons, with very few miracles, following Bobby Conner? The only positive thing that I see is that Bobby has not encountered Emma or any other ‘angel’.
Consider these few thoughts:
Christ said that in the end, the enemy would rise up with false signs and wonder to deceive many.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Mat 24:24 NKJV)
The Church’s power is in the doctrine, that Paul so many times told Timothy to hold fast too. Even the magicians of Pharaoh could perform miracles. Even the False Prophet of the kingdom of the Antichrist will be able to.
In John’s Gospel, we read of the man coming to Christ,
“Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” Jesus replied, “You may go. Your son will live.”
The man took Jesus at his word and departed. (Joh 4:48-50 NIV)
The construction of the Greek shows that Christ is stating that He doubted the faith of the royal official who sought only signs and wonders in order to believe. The official did not need signs and wonders, only faith. How many of this Word of Faith people actually can say that? None of the above mentioned people, for they all seek great ‘breakthroughs’ and greater signs and wonders. We read in Acts 2.22 that no matter the verification of signs and wonders done by Christ, people still didn’t believe.
And what of these ‘angels’?
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Gal 1:6-9 NKJV)
And,
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. (2Co 11:13-15 NKJV)
Be watchful, Dothan, Alabama, be watchful.

Do you believe in angels?
August 21st, 2008 3:31 pm
No my friend…. YOU be VERY VERY watchful… you don’t come against the anointed .. be they wrong or right and expect to walk away w/o the LORD standing up for them…

Joshua, angels are servants, but there is nothing in Scripture to match the experiences of the false prophets.
Riddler, none of those people mentioned in the above article are ‘anointed’ or of God.

Ahh so Poly you’re a Batman fan. Me too!
Follow up about angels…
-do you think that angels work with people? visit people? make themselves appear to people?
August 21st, 2008 4:13 pm
Joshua – is there any better hero than Batman? The Dark Knight that everyone hates because he does what he has to do. He is not the hero that they deserve…
I believe that angels (here) serve a purpose, the New Testament is limited on it’s words on them. Paul cautions against them, as you know.

I left a post on the original blog of this subject. I do not have time to repeat, so if your interested, go to that blog response and read it. I only have on thing to add, remarkable how many nasty bugs come out from under a rock when you move it and disrupt their darkness.
August 26th, 2008 9:32 am
Tammy,
Are you saying that I am a nasty bug?
August 27th, 2008 1:52 pm
Nooooooo Joshua. Are you under a rock
? The rock is the rock that has been overturned as of late exposing some of these false prophets…these were somewhat silent and unknown around until just recently. These are the bugs I am referring to. Not you Joshua, or anyone else on this blog (that I know about)…just noticing how fast the prophetic mix got stirred and reproduced. More metaphors. I better get some sleep. Autistic son home for visit, sleep not found, putting up wanted posters for sleep.:) Be back tomorrow when head is clear and metaphors are gone.

Tammy,
Thanks for the clarification. LOL No I am not under a rock. That would be quite heavy after a while.
