Jason,

Your points, 1 and 2 are fine. No one should be saying otherwise. The only community where we should be concerned about false religion is the Church. Nothing else. Should we run out the Muslims? The Baptists (tongue-in-cheek here)? The Catholics?

I don't 'trash' folks; I point out the errors and remind them that their is no private interpretation.

This is not my article, but one that I felt relevant to the discussion. Would you have had a problem with me posting on on Jeremiah Wright and Liberation Theology?

I typically like the information you give, but this is a reach. Since when is it a bad thing that 1.) a pastor brings people together to pray 2.) they corporately agree something is a problem in their community 3.) a fortune teller and spiritist (aka a witch) is driven out of their community? The results show improvement, such as less crime. That isn't Biblical?

Witch hunts in Salem or in modern day America are a bit different than in Africa where witchcraft is prevalent. I understand that there are wack-job "believers" in the Western culture, but African nations are still dealing with cultures that are a lot closer to the New Testament than where we live. I seem to recall a similar account of this...where was that??? Oh, in the book of Acts. Paul, slave girl, fortune telling. I'm sure you will argue that a spirit left the slave girl, and this woman was "run out of town". Well, Jesus is preached, and people are saved. It's not Todd Bentley...no angels, no Bam, no shaking. Just an African preacher who prayed with a woman who respnded for prayer.

You often trash folks for making the Bible say what they need it to in orde to validate their ideas. I agree with most allof what you say, but in this report I think you are reaching quite a bit. in fact, I would say you are doing with this story exactly what you complain about others doing. Muthee is not "Bentley-ite", and I think this particular story is sensationalized. Keep it real, bro. I like your stuff, but this is just silly.

No, the U.S. contains God's people or a portion. I can only give you what I recieved and heard of others as well. Can I tell you the mind of God? Do you or I really know what she believes? Or where God may make changes in her life in order to bring about His will? Moses was an unlikely choice, many others were unlikely, and everyone of them had sinned before, and some after being called. But, God brought them around and they led as He led.
I simply can't judge who God should or should not choose, but if He moves on me and gives me witness, then thats all I need.

A slight correction on Esther leading, she did not lead, she intervened and sought favor of the king and saved the lives of the Jews. Being in the right place for one reason was her calling. Who knows why things are shaping up as they are.

Bro. Lanis, are you really comparing the United States of America with God's people, the Church? If you say that she is an Esther or a Deborah, then you have to remember that they led God's people. Are Americans God's people? Would He chose one who has beliefs such as her to do so?

Pentecost has never ended. When Jeses ascended to be with his Father, he sent us (believers in Jesus Christ) the Holy Spirit to dwell IN us to be our helper and counselor. A Christian's struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Jesus cast our demons. He told believers that they would do the same and greater things that he did while here on earth. I think it is great that Sarah continues to seek God Almighty (the only living God), her creator, and has faith - for it is faith that pleases God and she knows it's more important to please God than man.

Interesting question, it lends to another question. Is God fickle? You and I can answer that with no. Then, it would be down to who's really in touch with God. I am in competition with no one, just allowing the Lord to lead me daily. I'm not the only one, I have talked to many, many saints that had their own experiences. Present day Esther was impressed on too many saints for it not to be God lead. We shall see, as God has daily control of everything going on, even our thoughts. I quit party affiliation years ago..have voted on people since.

Bro. Lanis, I will not dismiss you inspiration, but what if someone else, holy Spirit filled, felt the same inspiration, but to the negative?

As I have mentioned before, when I heard McCain chose a running mate, the Holy Ghost moved in me and caused me to pay close attention. I began to research who she is and the more I did, the more the Holy Ghost dealt with me. Thats enough for me, the enemy can dig all the dirt and us other events and misconstrue them as negative, but for me the Lord has spoken.
This may have some validity, obviously you thought so, but I can say by experience, I have dealt with some preachers in my time and made the best of it, and try not to go there again. We have missionaries out of our church in Africa and they have to deal with them as Africans, they have to operate to an extent in their culture. And beleive me, they cast out a lot of demons in the process. Witchcraft is rampant in Africa, it would figure this guy has had to deal with it.
