Is God moving Sarah Palin's poll numbers?

Category: Joel's Army, Religious NewsPolycarp @ 7:53 pm

via Memo to Sarah Palin: God doesn’t care about your poll numbers « …are you pondering what I’m pondering?

FromCNN Political Ticker:

“But it’s at events like these and our rallies that we are so energized and inspired and we know that we are not alone. We feel your strength and we feel the power of prayer, so many of you tell us that you are praying for us and praying for our country, and that’s why we so appreciate you being here.”“We even saw today, thank the Lord, we saw some movement,” looking upwards and making a fist

First off, God doesn’t care about you poll numbers. Jesus never preached about voting. While I have no problem with people thanking God for the blessings in their lives, to attribute changes in your political fortunes to God is….well…. blasphemous.

Reading God’s mind are you? You have no idea of the Power of God and the prayers of those who follow him.

  2. Polycarp says:

No, just discerning the spirits, Polunch, and reading the bible. You seem to have no idea of either of those things.

  3. polunch says:

Then you would know that through God, all things are possible and if enough people are praying about this election, He could be opening the minds and hearts of those people who have been blinded, so that could see His will and that might in turn be moving the polls.

Also, in the Bible, judge not – I think you should be able to figure out the rest of the quote

  4. Polycarp says:

Polunch, first the quote is misquoted. Figure that out first.

Opening their minds and hearts to what? Lies, fear? Is that the tools of a holy God?

  5. polunch says:

“Judge not that ye be not judged.” St. Matthew 7:1
Didn’t realize you wouldn’t recognize the quote and I am referring to you making a judgement on me.

Polycarp – A Father of the Christian Church – strange that you would use such a name and be so mean-spirited.

Open my eyes, that I may see
    Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free.
Silently now I wait for Thee,
    Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit Divine!

Polunch, I recognize the quote – it is the escape of those that seek no the truth and hate the light. We too judge doctrine and soundness thereof, but not the person themselves. There is a gulf of difference there, something that you, and others seem to misunderstand.

If you would about Polycarp, you would know that he was a heretic hunter as well, and was burned at the stake for his ‘crimes’ of telling the Truth.

Come to think of it, John the Baptizer was also executed for the truth.

    And Peter

    and Paul,

And our blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, as well.

  7. polunch says:

And you would put yourself in a class with those people? I think not.

You may study the Bible, but you do not understand it, nor do most people, myself included.

There is only one God, and one son of God – Jesus Christ. No one will get into heaven but through faith, not deeds. For that you should be glad, because you go out of your way to demean people who are only expressing their opinions. So, I will have to say your “deeds” are sorely lacking. Good luck in the faith department. I will be praying for you as well as all of the people you have demoralized in your patronizing posts that they stand strong against “Christian” posts such as your.

    Titus 3:2-3
2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.

3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

  8. Polycarp says:

Polunch, please don’t pray for me, as you have admitted you don’t understand the bible and lack the faith to do so.

It is not evil to speak the truth, or Christ Himself would have committed sin. Instead, we must labor always to speak the truth about sin and matters of doctrine, which Christ and His Apostles did and commanded us to do.

My faith is increased by the Doctrine of the Church, and my walk guided by her precepts. I hope that yours one day will be as well.

  9. polunch says:

Polycarp, you just can’t resist thinking you know better than everyone else. You don’t. I know when God speaks to me, and I don’t need to hear you or anyone else validate my faith to me. This will be my last post to you, you do not speak as one with Jesus and his word.

  10. Polycarp says:

Polunch, it is shame that you are so blinded to the actual Truth of Jesus Christ.
