Read the Wall: D.C. church helps homeless couple marry but forgets the threshold

Living under the bridge over troubled water??That knowledge helps me relish this story, when despite the ills of life, true love has a place… if only Grace Episcopal Church in D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood felt the same.

Meet the betrothed couple in question: Dante White & Nhiahni Chestnut – both in love, with each other, out of work and without a home. BUT, they got married.

He makes the point that while the congregation put the wedding on…well, go read it there.

I’m running out of them, but I’ll keep working at it. :)

Didn’t think of the kiddos (and congrats by the way). I was thinking of a certain Bishop of Byzantium in 69 A.D.

However, calling you Bishop just made me feel bad, so I went back to marine aquatics. :)

    The article does say:

'And having pulled off the miracle nuptials, Grace Church parishioners are working on the next steps of building a future for the couple: looking for affordable housing, money to pay a security deposit and a few bits and pieces to allow them to set up house together.'

So the Grace Church community hasn't actually forgotten their need for housing. And the church community funded the wedding and honeymoon. And Grace regularly feeds them.

Have you figured out what Polycarp(us) meant in the original Greek? That should give you added material, what, with me expecting my third child and all!
