Yesterday, I highlighted a few of the reactions from the blogosphere. Today, I am posting some press releases from ‘pro-life’ groups. Granted, several pro-life groups have come out against the events on Sunday, condemning the actions in no uncertain language. Sadly, that is not the case for all groups:
The ‘Rev. CJ Conner‘, 651-373-9137, issued a press release, stating:
“There is nobody more to blame for the murder of George Tiller than Reformation Lutheran Church, ELCA, in Wichita Kansas.”
He goes on to blame the ECLA congregation for the murder of Tiller:
“Church discipline, and the call to repentance, is a matter of life and death in the Church. As Reformation Lutheran mops up Tiller’s blood from their foyer floor, let them not forget that his blood is also on their hands.
Had they called Tiller to repentance, as Jesus commands the Church, he would not have been there this Pentecost Sunday to face a violent death. The failure of the Church to fulfill God’s commission is deadly, and has eternal implications. But just perhaps Reformation Lutheran, ELCA, will humbly repent for the evil they have been complicit in all these years.”
In other words, not only is the congregation to blame, but the murder was seemingly deserved.
Next we have Dr. Pat McEwen, Operation Save America, 321-431-3962, who concurs with Conner,
“This is an apostate church, fully complicit in Mr. Tiller’s murderous rampage against preborn children.”
Obviously, Terry was not done, and according to Kathy Veritas, 904-687-9804; stopobamanotredame.com, Terry’s regret for Tiller was,
“I grieve for him that he did not have an opportunity to properly prepare his soul to face his Maker.”
But, as Terry does, he does give us a warning that some way, some how the Obama Administration will use this to force everyone into abortion camps:
“The child killers, and their allies in the Obama administration and on Capitol Hill, will attempt to browbeat the pro-life movement into surrendering our most effective weapons in this battle: our rhetoric, our actions, and our images.
And again:
“George Tiller was a mass-murderer. We grieve for him that he did not have time to properly prepare his soul to face God. I am more concerned that the Obama Administration will use Tiller’s killing to intimidate pro-lifers into surrendering our most effective rhetoric and actions. Abortion is still murder. And we still must call abortion by its proper name; murder.”
Excuse me, Mr. Terry, but your rhetoric caused the actions which has tarnished your already less then impeccable image and has murdered a man.

Wow. Thanks for doing the work to bring our attention to this.

You know, I put a decent amount of effort into making sure that I present Christianity and those causes which I support, such as the pro-life movement, positively.
I feel like these idiots are stabbing me in the back.
I've come across a couple other Christians online who have no remorse for Tiller or his family. I find that unfathomable. Have we lost the sense that life is sacred? Everyone's life?
Sigh …

Hi Polycarp… great looking website!
I just had to chime in with my total disgust at this guy Randall Terry. He actually makes me ill..
You may have a link already posted elsewhere, i haven't looked, but did you watch his latest video clip concerning this murder?
http://www.overturnroe.com/
As i commented at youtube, i don't see any action nor hear anything coming from this man which is of Christ.
He is one frightening obsessed guy Polycarp. And its not with life, but with a cause.
(Again, nice website brother… )

If you think that's bad. You should see what one of the second vice presidents of the Southern Baptist Convention had to say:
"There may be a lot who would say, 'Oh that is mean. You shouldn't be that way,'" Drake said on his radio show. "Well, no, it's an answer to prayer." He went on to explain:
Would you have rejoiced when Adolf Hitler died during the war? … I would have said, "Amen, praise the Lord, hallelujah, I'm glad he's dead."
This man, George Tiller, was far greater in his atrocities than Adolf Hitler. So I am happy. I am glad that he is dead.

Sorry for the delay in your comment – it went to spam, wasn't there yesterday, suddenly there today. I love the freedom that I have without wordpress.com EXCEPT for the comments. Cannot get those right.
I have seen bits and pieces of that on the cable news. I am wondering who is next?
Thanks for the comments, PJ.

Just out of curiosity… What makes you think this guy’s life was “sacred?”

All life is sacred.
