A revelation is the truth that has become a reality in our lives and motivates us to act upon it. The moment we step out in obedience, God will manifest His sovereignty (Gen. 6:9 - 7:24).
The success of our leadership is determined by the people that surround us. A skillful leader will recruit the right people (Judges 7).
A man of a strong leadership is capable of making the right decision, both for himself or for other people. A man of a weak leadership is prone to wait for others to stand up and make the right decision for him.

Well that could be debated? But I will not here. The Kennedy's are pop stars almost in the UK, just like in the US. At least from my generation. But, there are those in my Father's generation (RIP) who remember old man Kennedy (the Father of John, Bob & Edward) who when in England, supported the rise of Hitler. Oh very true! But, I will be nice for me "mum".

fwiw, Toni Blair (a friend of Republicans) was on American tv singing the late Senator's praises this morning. The specific contributions remembered most? His work together with the Prime Minister on American-supported negotiations for the peace settlement for Northern Ireland in 1998. Blair called what Kennedy helped accomplish a possible model for negotiating peace in the middle east.

But he was Irish - and isn't it Irish to love the Irish!

For most of my life, I was slightly to the right of the Republicans. Now, I will not say on this forum, but I believe that beyond political ideology, he did some impressive things, such as the Civil Rights Act of 64, etc... which should be above politics.

RIP! I must admit, not being an American however, that I did not like Edward Kennedy, at least in the political. And if I were an American I would be a Republican. But not so much because of conservative American religion, as of the aspect to what the Republican ideals are. But be-that-as it-may, indeed one of your giants in political America has died. And my little Irish mother (RIP also) loved the Kennedy's! So in her honor I say, peace Americans!

I believe that many Americans, if they would realize it, would feel that they owe Kennedy a lot for their ability to experiment in our grand experiment. For anyone who voted between the ages of 18 and 21, and helped to change the course, it is because of Kennedy - just one among many examples. While some many not like his personal life, we do not judge a public servant on those things, but the things which he gave us. It is an end of the Kennedy Era, indeed, and we mourn that as well.

Thank you for this post, remembering Kennedy and reemphasizing the "hope for an America where the power of faith will always burn brightly, but where no modern Inquisition of any kind will ever light the fires of fear, coercion, or angry division."
