There is increasing talk about the end of the world and 2012, but what did Christ say would be the greatest deception of the last days? According to Bible prophecy, false Messiahs, false prophets and false apostles arise as this age draws to a close. These political and religious leaders seduce the unwary with good words and polished speeches, and later work great miracles, signs and wonders to deceive multitudes worldwide. Spiritual deception will dramatically increase, eventually so convincing it will be difficult to resist.

Even today, faith healers and spiritual healers draw multitudes with promises of miracle healings and deliverance, and millions follow without understanding the dangers. We hear more and more about miracles and spiritual gifts, but how can we discern among real miracles of God, miracles, signs and wonders of the occult, and fake miracles via deceptions of men?

This book helps the average person discern genuine works of God from deception in the spiritual realm. It provides a sound Biblical, historical and scientific analysis of miracles for a uniquely comprehensive understanding of this controversial topic. A detailed Appendix is included with revealing views on speaking in tongues and miracle healings from key Christian leaders and denominations throughout church history. The book also offers practical advice to avoid spiritual deception.

Chapters 1 and 2 contrast God’s love and truth with growing confusion of religions and languages, as a background for discerning miracles. Chapters 3-6 examine the person and functions of the Holy Spirit, since many associate miracles with His ministry. As examples of miracles, chapters 7-13 provide a Biblical and historical analysis of miraculous tongues and healing, and compare the importance of God’s path for individual spiritual maturity with gifted abilities for edifying others. Chapters 14-16 show the crucial importance of unity in Christ’s body of believers, and reveal how to distinguish the enemy’s growing counterfeit supersystem that includes deceptive miracles, recognizing and confronting delusion in ourselves and others. Chapters 17 and 18 encourage a renewed focus on God’s person, and challenge each individual to make a difference for Christ with specific recommendations to unify believers in God’s love and truth.

Most of us are aware of cults and individuals who have given themselves over to following a belief system that sounds glorious on the surface, but where the surprise outcome for followers is disillusionment, despair, and destruction. Much more spiritual discernment is needed to see God clearly and recognize increasingly clever impostors that masquerade in His name. Protect yourself and your loved ones from spiritual and religious deception now with Miracles or Magic?
