I was thinking about children first, but of course the issues can be put forward for ourselves. But we are all sinful and flawed, so no perfection here. As Proverbs to learn the fear of the Lord, must come first also. If I can give this first expression to my children, then I have done something good.
Fr. R.

Thinking outside of ourselves...like attempting to understanding the dialect and word context of another before we assume that they speaking our own language?

This is not funny really, for in a real sense we all think of things from our own experience and history. This is just human psychology. We must learn to think outside ourselves. The job of being a parent, is to help our childern to do just this, and especially as Christians.
