In 9th grade, my English teacher allowed invented words if there was a need for the word and it was based on legitimate roots. The next day I put forward “rainbotic,” an adjective.
More recently, I’ve coined the term “graphician” for the graphics-projection techs at my church (or anywhere else, really). Just as a musician plays music, we play graphics.
