I really feel sorry for California, don’t you? First, it has Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Govenator, then the Economy, and a whole host of other problems, and now? Well now Kim gives it just a few more days unchanged.
You can read the ‘word’ here, but I want to focus on this part:
The Spirit of God says, “I am building a stairway. Jacob saw that stairway and called it a ladder. There is a stairway that I am building and have almost completed, for they have said it is impossible to get to the one place that the Apostle Paul was taken to.”
Keys to spotting a false prophet:
- Christ wasn’t good enough
- They have everything new
- Who cares about yesterday, God changes repeatedly
Here is the passage to which Kim refers:
As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. (Gen 28:12 NLT)
Now, I could give you Calvin’s interpretation, or a whole host of Church Father’s, but instead, I’ll simply give you what Jesus Himself said:
Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth. ” (Joh 1:51 NLT)
In other words, Kim is calling Christ a liar. He wasn’t good enough so God is building another ladder. So, Kim is saying – unless of course the man has never read the bible and thus just throwing biblical sounding passages in the air – that Christ was not good enough. Now, whom do you believe? Kim Clement, a buck for a prophecy, or Jesus Christ? the stairway to heaven?

The NLT added “the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth” to JN 1:51. While I think its likely this was in mind when John wrote that verse, I dont like that the NLT added to the text.

I think the NLT interprets the verse, indeed, but the meaning of the passage, as you agree, and everyone else in Christian history it seems.
