Recently, I have been involved in a great discussion on the subject of hell.
Is it a possibility that at some point it ends? One of the areas that we have to turn to is the prophetic future, described in the Book of Revelation. I am trying to keep the generally prophecy discussions out of the conversation, as they tend to bog down the discussion. By that, I mean that let’s stay away from the rapture and other ideas. I am drawing from Revelation 21 and 22:

According to Bible prophecy, false Messiahs, false prophets and false apostles arise as this age draws to a close, and later work great miracles, signs and wonders to deceive multitudes worldwide. Spiritual deception will dramatically increase, eventually so convincing that even the elect will find it difficult to resist.
Even today, faith healers and spiritual healers draw multitudes with promises of miracle healings and deliverance. We hear more and more about miracles and spiritual gifts, but how can we discern among real miracles of God, miracles, signs and wonders of the occult, and fake miracles via deceptions of men?
Surely we or our loved ones couldn’t be deceived? Or could we? See the article here.

There’s an avalanche of hype about 2012, but is it just another sham or the beginning of the end?
In addition to the well-publicized ‘last date’ of the Mayan calendar cycle, some claim the Jewish Kabbalah books of Zohar predict the beginning of the seven year tribulation at the same time, as well as a prophecy by the Catholic ‘Saint Malachy’ about the next Pope being the final one.
However, Christ said that before the Great Tribulation, “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many” (Matt. 24:11).
You pick it.

Whether it’s the Mayan prediction of the 2012 cataclysm or the theology of the rapture, predictions of the end of the world tell us as much about ourselves as about the coming apocalypse. And we’ve got plenty to worry about either way.

I realize that this is a leap, and I really don’t have the time to either defend or attack the position which I will make; however, for future references and perhaps some conversation, I present this:

I have never read the book, The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop, nor do I intend too; however, since I was recently hit with ‘facts’ from this book, I thought that maybe I would add a few links for rebuttal that I can refer to later.

I would seriously be scared, you know, if I didn’t know what the bible says, didn’t have common sense, and didn’t know Jack’s record on biblical prophecy and his ingenious schemes for making money.
