James White Runs Scared of Diglot

Category: BibliobloggingPolycarp @ 11:59 am

Well, at least in my mind. Congrats to Kevin for posting something which White took offense to.

Honestly, though? ‘Anti-Reformed’ textual critic? Doesn’t that mean that White is a Pro-Reformed Textual Critic making all his work bogus since it is obviously biased? Maybe I’ll go back to the KJVO camp.

Non-blogging Blogger Jim West to host Biblioblogging Carnival

Category: BibliobloggingPolycarp @ 12:01 pm

Remember Jim West? Hard to remember, but some time ago he was the number 1 biblioblogger in the world – and still to this day, he is my heart – and then he quit (again) vowing (again) never to return (again). He has since spent the last few months non-blogging blogging (again) or something like that. Anyway, he is going to host the next biblioblog carnival (again).

Blogspot Light – Matt Evans, Broadcast Depth

Category: BibliobloggingPolycarp @ 11:59 am

Nope, no interview with Matt, but I wanted to spot light his blog this week. Why? Because Matt has an excellent blog which includes snippets of his daily life, his goals, and his talents. He regularly posts his trials with Greek translation of either the New Testament or the Apostolic Fathers (pss….what about the LXX?)

He is also a reviewer and has done a remarkable job, in my opinion.

But, one of the best features of Matt’s blog is his interviews with various biblical scholars, many of which are a particular interest to me and my own private studies.

So, head on over, visit him, add him to your RSS reader and enjoy.

Biblioblogging Carnival Reminder and some Charity Work

Category: BibliobloggingPolycarp @ 3:29 pm

As part of my amnesty deal, I am linking to Brooke’s request for carnival entries and to Jeremy’s blog as well, because you know, that’s how the big dog rolls. Trust me, if you read his blog, you will understand why he needs help. Now, I’m not saying that Jeremy is low person on the poll, but I look out my ivory tower, and I see nothing.
