British Scientists asks for Volunteers to cut Population in Half

Category: Religious NewsPolycarp @ 10:57 pm

According to Chuck Colson at the Christian Post, a British environmental scientist has asked for volunteers to cut the population in half – from 61 million to 30 million.

He accused his fellow environmentalists of “betraying the interests of [their] members” by not telling people to be responsible for “their total environmental footprint.

Not surprisingly, Porritt’s comments didn’t sit very well with a lot of Britons. But he’s convinced, as he wrote on his website, that “logic” and “sound evidence” are on his side.

So, six weeks later, he upped the ante: he declared that the UK must cut its population from its current 61 million to 30 million “if it is to build a sustainable society.”

Porritt told attendees at the annual conference of Britain’s Optimum Population Trust-yes, that’s the organization’s name-that “population growth, plus economic growth, is putting the world under terrible pressure.”

According to Porritt, “each person in Britain has far more impact on the environment than those in developing countries.” The “impact” he’s referring to is the emission of greenhouse gases believed to cause man-made global warming.

Category: Religious NewsPolycarp @ 2:50 pm

The Radio 2 host said that he feels unable to talk about his faith on his show because he fears how people would react.

He argues that society has become increasingly intolerant of the freedom to express religious views.

“You can’t express views that were common currency 30 or 40 years ago,” he said.

“Arguably, the parameters of what you might call ‘right thinking’ are probably closing.

You must be nicer to Muslims, Britain is told by UN human rights chiefs

Category: Islam, Religious NewsPolycarp @ 11:46 pm

Britain was told yesterday by a United Nations committee to take firm action to combat ‘negative public attitudes’ towards Muslims.

The nine-member human rights committee also criticised some of the UK’s antiterror measures.

The body, which is composed of legal experts, said it was concerned ‘ negative public attitudes towards Muslim members of society’ continued to develop in Britain.

The TV rabbit preaching hatred and telling young Muslims to ‘kill and eat Jews’

An Islamic TV station using a Bugs Bunny lookalike to preach hatred to children has been slammed by religious leaders in the UK who fear it could brainwash vulnerable British children.

Assud the rabbit, who vows to ‘kill and eat Jews’ and glorifies the maiming of ‘infidels’ appears on Palestinian children’s show, Tomorrow’s Pioneers.

The rabbit is a number of characters who is punished by viewer’s vote when he breaches Sharia law.

But what about the Muslims?
