The Literalism of the New Living Translation – Luke 9.31

Category: Bible Translation, NLTPolycarp @ 11:25 am

My NLT has more miracles than your KJV

Category: NLTPolycarp @ 12:00 am

I will take different chapters or passages, prooftexting, and put then against recognized versions. I ask my readers to participate, showing me what they like or don’t like.

AIDS for Leprosy in Bible Translation

Category: Bible TranslationPolycarp @ 4:02 pm

Bible Translations and philosophies of those translations run the gambit, from very literal to very dynamic. Each has it’s merits and each has it’s supporters. While the point of Dr. Gayle’s posts was not AIDS for Leprosy, I am taking it as a starting point.

I take it that a literal translation has the best chance of preserving truth. I shall say no more in defence of this here.
