Currently, there is a ‘revival’ going on at IHOP – no, not the pancake house which currently has more correct theology than Mike Bickle’s International House of Prayer. Here is a ‘praise report:’

Lou Engle urges Americans to Invade Canada for God
Well, not really invade – but don’t think he is not thinking about it that way:
First, from here:
This summer, exactly 40 years after Woodstock, thousands of young, and young at heart, will descend on Vancouver, British Columbia, to cry out to God for a new movement in Canada and the nations of the earth. Biblically 40 years marks the close of a season. With this in mind, TheCRY team believes God is on the move across Canada and wanting to bring an end to a season of immorality, perversion and rebellion by ushering in something totally new. We believe He wants, and already is, ushering in a movement that will baptize a generation with the spirit of holiness and passion for JESUS.
TheCRY is not like anything most Christians have ever experienced. It is a full day of dynamic prayer, worship and fasting with thousands of other believers. Though there are always well known worship bands and ministers that are leading throughout the day, names and bands are not advertised.
The leadership of TheCRY explains this saying, “Our desire is that people would not come because we have marketed big names or Christian celebrities (though we are not necessarily opposed to that in other settings), we want people to come to meet with one big name, Jesus Christ, and to CRY out for this awesome nation that He loves and is asking for [Psalm 2]…” TheCRY is a grass roots interdenominational and intergenerational movement of those who are passionate for Jesus and believe in the power of prayer and fasting to impact Canada for righteousness sake.
The purpose of this is rooted in numerology:
Every generation, every city and every nation has moments. Moments where everything changed. Moments where movements were sparked and propelled. Moments that determined cultural shifts and the moral DNA of the masses. The summer of 69 – exactly 40 years ago this summer – was one of those moments. On August 15th, 1969, thousands of young people gathered in the spirit of sexual immorality and rebellion in a time that came to be known as the sexual revolution. It marked a generation and changed the history of nations. Biblically 40 years marks the close of a season. With this in mind, we believe God is on the move across North America and wanting to bring an end to a season of immorality, perversion and rebellion by ushering in something totally new. We believe He wants – and already is – ushering in a movement that will baptize a generation with the spirit of holiness and passion for JESUS.
It sounds biblicaly, doesn’t it – 40 years and all, but applying biblical things does not make it biblical. Lou Engle and the rest of the TheCall/TheCry are attempting to remake geo-political entities into the Kingdom of God. Yet, we are commanded to leave the things of this world alone, and not to engage in their wars.
They are calling for generals, that’s right, generals:
Ramping into TheCRY will be a series of Canadian Oil meetings where generals of this movement of reformation and revival will be imparting the word of the Lord for this key window of time. Speakers at these meetings will be: Stacey Campbell, Patricia King, Charlie Robinson, Lou Engle, Faytene Kryskow and others.

The (Christian) Media Takes on Jon Meacham of Newsweek
Lou Engle, the founder of the uber-Dominionist group, TheCall, has called for the firing of an editor of Newsweek. How very Christian of him.
Responding to the 2009 American Religious Identification Survey on national Christianity, NEWSWEEK’s Editor, Jon Meacham, lighted many fires this week with his cover story, The Decline and Fall of Christian America, in which he wrote about the declining number of American believers, especially in the Northeast. As he wrote, “This is not to say that the Christian God is dead, but that he is less of a force in American politics and culture than at any other time in recent memory.”
In saying this, and writing about the waning influence of Christianity in politics, NEWSWEEK’s heard from more than 4,000 of our readers, not to mention myriad pundits and media outlets wanting to contribute to the fray. On our own site, Meacham has responded to his critics, clarifying the difference between Christianity (which is not dying) and Christian America. We’ve also started a blog for religious thought-leaders to contribute.

Another View: Is the stimulus bill anti-religious?
Mike Huckabee and Lou Engle have both called the stimulus bill ‘anti-religious’ because it denies federal money for building or remodeling buildings on education campuses which see the use as primarily religious. Actually, they say that the bill bans remodeling buildings with any amount of religious use. This is not the case:
I received an e-mail yesterday from the flak for the evangelical organization TheCall. It complained that the stimulus bill, almost, finally finished, included a provision that would encourage colleges and universities to discriminate against religious organizations that meet on campus.
Section 803 of the Senate “stimulus” bill establishes a grant program for colleges and universities to make renovations. A small provision buried in Section 803 withholds that funding from any facility used for “sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity; or in which a substantial portion of the functions of the facilities are subsumed in a religious mission.”

TheCry, Lou Engles Canadian TheCall, set to invade Newfoundland
On February 21st, Canadians from all across Canada will gather in Newfoundland for TheCRY St. John’s. St. John’s is the place where the very first explorers set foot centuries ago claiming Canada for God and for their king who had sent them on a missionary journey to the ‘new found land.’ Hundreds of years later, the cry of these explorers will be echoed by Christians from every denomination and generation as they raise their voices and claim this nation once again “for GOD and for King,” declaring as our Founding Fathers did that, “[Jesus Christ] will have dominion from sea to sea…” (Psalm 72:8).

America's Moral Collapse Demands 'Radical Action'
[12.31.08] Billy Wilson, executive director of the International Center for Spiritual Renewal and a leader at the Awakening America Alliance, says Christians in America must recognize the moral depravity of the times, humbly repent for the spiritual passivity of the church, and fast and pray for a Third Great Awakening.
“We are very convinced that our present spiritual state in the church demands radical action,” Wilson told Charisma. “One of the radical actions that scripture gives us, which God ordains, is the act of fasting. One of the things we’re fasting for and repenting of is our lack of effectiveness in changing our culture for Christ, and also for [failing] to bring a new generation to Christ.”

Lou Engle attempts to enslave Africa with Dominionism.
Lou Engle is invading Africa with his Christian terror organization, TheCall, which is dominionist. This group does not limit itself to the U.S. alone, but seeks to take over the world with their Army.
Thousands of African prayer warriors gathered in the Kenyan capital Nairobi this past weekend to pray for a spiritual awakening in the city, state and all of Africa.
TheCall, a growing movement that seeks God’s mercy and spiritual revival through prayer and fasting, held an 8-hour long mass prayer event on Saturday. It was the first time TheCall was held on the continent of Africa.
“Kenya stands at a critical juncture as its newspaper headlines expose the frailty of the nation’s moral fabric,” said TheCall founder Lou Engle, “but there is the promise of a great awakening on the horizon.”
“It is always darkest before dawn, and the Church is set to enter its finest hour,” he proclaimed. “When it seems like there is no hope, God still has a holy prescription: ‘Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a fast, call a sacred assembly!’”
GOD TV, which has been broadcasting TheCall events in the United States live, noted its excitement with streaming the gathering in Africa.
“We sense God’s hand on TheCall Kenya and it’s strategic timing,” said Wendy Alec, GOD TV’s director of television.
“It is only through prayer and fasting that we will see revival come to our nations and we encourage viewers to tune in and stand with the people of Kenya in prayer, and as they do, we believe the Lord will touch them wherever they live,” she said.
TheCall Kenya takes place the same week as GOD TV opens its office in Nairobi.
Recently, TheCall revival events have been held in Washington, D.C. – where some 100,000 people attended – and in San Diego just ahead of the U.S. presidential election.
The first TheCall DC event attracted an attendance of over 400,000 young people at the National Mall. TheCall gatherings have also been held in various European countries, Australia, Canada, the Philippines, Indonesia, Israel and now in Africa.
