Just How Far Do You Want to go with this Christian Nation thing?
Proposing a change to the Constitution to reflect the myth of the Christian nation is nothing new. It started as a reaction from the Yankees to the Confederacy’s constitution which explicit recognized God in it’s preamble,

Huckabee: Evangelicals More Supportive of Israel than U.S. Jews
Mike Huckabee, most widely known as a former Republican presidential candidate, said recently that evangelicals are more supportive of Israel than even American Jews.
In an interview with CBN News, Huckabee, who was wrapping up a trip to Israel, called evangelicals the “best friends” of Israeli Jews.

Another View: Is the stimulus bill anti-religious?
Mike Huckabee and Lou Engle have both called the stimulus bill ‘anti-religious’ because it denies federal money for building or remodeling buildings on education campuses which see the use as primarily religious. Actually, they say that the bill bans remodeling buildings with any amount of religious use. This is not the case:
I received an e-mail yesterday from the flak for the evangelical organization TheCall. It complained that the stimulus bill, almost, finally finished, included a provision that would encourage colleges and universities to discriminate against religious organizations that meet on campus.
Section 803 of the Senate “stimulus” bill establishes a grant program for colleges and universities to make renovations. A small provision buried in Section 803 withholds that funding from any facility used for “sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity; or in which a substantial portion of the functions of the facilities are subsumed in a religious mission.”

Mike Huckabee – “Do the Right Thing” part I
Wickle has a great review (at least the first part) – Go…read…enjoy
Chapter One: Dude, Where’s my Candidate?
In this first chapter, Gov. Huckabee describes the basic dilemma facing the Republican Party as it worked to choose its Presidential nominee for the 2008 race. To start with himself, he tells briefly how he first came to be a Republican and his first involvement with public activities. He was working for a radio station, and then worked to pass the Arkansas Unborn Child Amendment. He also describes the dilemma faced as the Republicans consider nominating left-of-center candidates (he named Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney).
Before he described the Republicans’ dilemma, though, he described the state of the US as a whole, and did so very well, I thought. He noted that it wasn’t the platform of fiscal responsibility that was rejected in 2006, it was the execution of that platform by the Republican Party. Quite accurately, he described as “incompetent” the handling or Iraq and Katrina. He noted Republicans’ “profligate spending.” He has a great point.
Quite intelligently and honestly, Gov. Huckabee pointed to the flaws in many Democrats’ responses to terrorism, but also to the execution of the policy in Iraq:
We had a military strategy in place to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein, but we did not have a realistic political strategy of how to turn the culture of a totalitarian nation like Iraq into a democracy overnight.

Dominionism – More on Joel's Army
Dominionism
and the Rise of Christian Imperialism
By Sarah Leslie
Conspiracy theorizing about the Christian Right’s supposedly “secret” agenda involves highlighting the hate-mongering and bizarre ideas of a handful of Christian Right players while neglecting the broad popularity of dominion theology. – Sara Diamond, “Dominion Theology: The Truth About the Christian Right’s Bid for Power,”1
American churches are to a large degree defined by what they choose to rebel against. The Christian right has set itself in opposition to liberal, secular government and, as a political consequence, declared itself a buddy of big business.” – Russ Rymer, Mother Jones, Dec. 20052
The ambassador’s words seemed prophetic a couple of weeks later, when a Dream for Africa draft plan found its way into Swazi newspapers, turning public opinion sharply against Mr. Wilkinson. Under the headline “British Colony or Dr Bruce Colony?” one op-ed writer in the Swazi News wrote, “Why can’t he simply tell us that he wants to be given the whole country so that he can gloat to his friends overseas that he owns a modern day colony in Africa called Swaziland?” – Michael M. Phillips, “Mr. Wilkinson Hits Wall Trying To Push ‘Orphan Village’”, Wall Street Journal, 12/19/053
For the past several decades the political Left has focused attention on the Christian Right’s political activism in America. Particularly, the Left has been highly critical of a select group of dominionists called Reconstructionists, whose aggressive verbiage, extreme Calvinist theologies, and religious political agendas have made it an ideal target for outrage. But, as Leftist researcher Sara Diamond has astutely observed, “the Reconstructionists’ religion of Calvinism. . . makes them unlikely to appeal to most evangelicals.”4 Indeed, few Reconstructionists would consider themselves to be evangelicals. Nevertheless, their influence has been considerable over the much larger group of patriotic evangelicals.

Christians to gather in DC for prayer, fasting
Christians to gather in DC for prayer, fasting (OneNewsNow.com).
Notice that Lou as changed what the Bible actually says. John says that we cannot add to the prophecy as found in the Revelation. Moses said not to add to God’s Word period. Yet, for these people, who include Todd Bentley, John Crowder, and Patricia King, changing God’s Word depends on whether or not you ate pizza at midnight.
