Category: IslamPolycarp @ 4:59 pm

A lot of people, when hit with the statement that no all Muslims are radical fundamentalists, hit back with

“Yeah, well were are the groups who should be speaking out against the Islamic Terrorists!?!?!?!”

Well, here you go.

Surat Al-’Ikhlas and the Nicene Creed

Category: Creeds, IslamPolycarp @ 8:59 am

While many Christians note that Muhammad’s version of Christianity is a little skewed  – no doubt he encountered a sect of Christianity – we usually focus only only the differences of the Qu’ranic Isa and the Biblical Jesus. However, does the Qu’ran, and thus early Islamic theology, actually offer more than just a repackaging of Jesus, but a theological attack on the Nicene Creed?

The use of the word ‘Allah’ by Christians in history and today

American Family Association: No More Muslims in the U.S. Military

Category: Islam, Religion and PoliticsPolycarp @ 1:33 pm

This is stupid:

Of course, most U.S. Muslims don’t shoot up their fellow soldiers. Fine. As soon as Muslims give us a foolproof way to identify their jihadis from their moderates, we’ll go back to allowing them to serve. You tell us who the ones are that we have to worry about, prove you’re right, and Muslims can once again serve. Until that day comes, we simply cannot afford the risk. You invent a jihadi-detector that works every time it’s used, and we’ll welcome you back with open arms. This is not Islamophobia, it is Islamo-realism.
