One week after her ex-husband resigned as senior pastor of Without Walls International Church, Paula White plans to take the pulpit Sunday as the church’s new leader, the Whites said in separate interviews late Friday.
White, who held her first staff meeting Friday and spent time looking for a place to live, said she will officially take the reins when she preaches at its two morning worship services. The services will also honor Bishop Randy White, who founded the church with her 18 years ago.
“Did I see it coming? … I can say that Without Walls has never been out of my heart or my being, and I’ve never been out of theirs,” she said. “But I have stopped trying to figure out sovereignty and destiny.”
Word of Paula White’s new post seeped out Sunday when Randy White preached his last sermon as senior pastor at the church and resigned. White, 51, said he was stepping aside because of health concerns. He declined to elaborate on his condition, although he said he had been ill and in and out of the hospital for much of the last seven months.
“I have some serious health issues right now,” White said in an interview Friday. “I’ve had six different doctors say that I had to take the stress, the pressure out of my life. So I’ve resigned, and Paula’s taking over.”

The Tampa Trib is reporting that the foreclosure demons have been staved off from Randy White’s Church without walls.
Seems that Randy, instead of bilking his followers, will known explore a lawsuit against the Tampa Tribune.
TAMPA – Without Walls International Church escaped the specter of foreclosure after its lender agreed to drop demands for control of its books, tapes and other intellectual property, Pastor Randy White said today.

Below is an article, link below, from a Jamaican concerning the U.S.’s latest contribution to the world – prosperity preachers.
Now that the Unites States and indeed the nations of the world are engaged in a fierce battle for economic survival, it will be interesting to watch the antics of the evangelical church, since its message has been so pegged to the dollar over the last few years.
The prosperity gospel, aka the miracle-for-money theology, or the name-it and claim-it doctrine, had all but replaced the simple “Just as I am” message of old, where the only burden the wretched sinner was required to lay down at the foot of the cross was self, and from thence to plumb the depths of Scripture with the objective to grow in faith and at some point to put away childish things. Back then, “abundant life” meant eternal life, and if a tenth of your income was not required, your mite was given and received with hearts of gladness, as it came from a soul grateful for spiritual succor and scriptural enlightenment.

An independent organization that reviews Christian ministries for financial accountability and transparency has released its annual list of the top 30 most exemplary ministries and, for the first time, a list of 30 “donor alert” ministries.
Though Matthews, N.C.-based Wall Watchers for years has released its list of “Shining Light” ministries and a regular bulletin of “donor alerts” concerning potential frauds and pitfalls for donors, this year marks the first time it has released an official list of “30 Donor Alert Ministries” through its website, MinistryWatch.com.

Grady, editor of the popular charismatic magazine Charisma, said the way thousands celebrated Bentley despite his moral and theological shortcomings demonstrated a lack of discernment that pervades the charismatic movement.
