Eugene Delgaudio admits several things about TSA and the homosexual agenda
Posted by Joel in Religion and Politics on November 26, 2010
Remember this letter which I posted on last week? Well, it was picked up as a primary source for a newspaper article in which the email’s author admitted that he thought that the TSA’s extra security measures were a part of the homosexual agenda.
When asked if he believed that the TSA’s security processes were part of a “homosexual agenda”, as one website alleges, Delagudio replied, “Abolutely.”
Anyway, read the rest of the article here.
I thought it was pretty cool to be picked up as a primary source for the article… just saying. And thanks to the bloggers at Too Conservative for linking to my article.
My take on this is that it is security which has gotten out of hand, but how many of us screaming about this now would scream for it if another attack happened? Of course, I tend to think that this add security is a result of the bunker-down mentality which many seem to have nowadays.
William Willimon on the Irrelevancy of the IRD

One blogger seems to think that ‘Bishop Willimon fire(d) off a snide, caustic, uninformed, and frankly embarrassing screed’, but to be honest, anyone who supports the IRD I automatically question.
William Willimon, the Bishop of the North Alabama Conference, writes, in part,
The email tirade was fairly typical for the IRD – snide, caustic, right wing conservative, devoid of any reference to the Bible or Jesus. Mr. Tooley is a good enough writer but he is utterly innocent of any theological interests. And so is the IRD. Note their title: Religion and Democracy. They never talk about Christ and they seem to think that politics and government is the answer to everything. The IRD seems to be a group of people who worship “religion” and “democracy” whereas the United Methodist Church is trying to worship and to obey Jesus. Emails from the IRD could as easily be released by Mormon Glen Beck or some Islamic Society as by any Christian church. Though their main function is to attack mainline churches, “church” is not in their name. Right wing politics appears to be their church.
Jesus is Better than Politics.
Like left wing extremists, right wingers like the IRD are simply using the Christian message to advance their own political causes. I can only imagine that Willimon is tired of groups like IRD not focused on what the Church needs to be doing, and fighting the mythical ‘Obamacare’ is not one of them.
I say, good for Bishop Willimon.

From an editorial on the first Thanksgiving:
As families sit down Thursday for Thanksgiving, our wish as Americans would be that they recapture a measure of the original meaning of this holiday. It was a day when native-born Americans welcomed undocumented immigrants, here in search of work and religious freedom, with benevolence and goodwill. Those native hosts were naive, perhaps, but well intentioned, imbued with an American spirit before America existed. The hosts and guests that day spoke different languages, followed different faiths. And yet they ate together, appreciated one another, saw their common humanity across their vast differences of culture.
This holiday is testament to those most fundamental American values — tolerance, curiosity, shared appreciation for struggle. As we celebrate the day, we should remember its meaning.
Perhaps we could think about the founding of the first settlements which slowly became our country on this day, as we look forward to solving this issue.

Archeology and Politics at the Western Wall

An official Palestinian report claiming that a key Jewish holy site – Jerusalem’s Western Wall – has no religious significance to Jews evoked an angry response from Israelis Wednesday, threatening to further inflame tensions over the disputed city.
Decades of archaeology have shown that the Western Wall, the holiest place where Jews can pray, was a retaining wall of the compound where the two biblical Jewish Temples stood 20 centuries ago. The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam’s third-holiest site, is built atop the ruins.
The latest claim about the Temples, echoing positions taken in the past by Palestinian leaders including the late Yasser Arafat, underlined the deeply held, conflicting beliefs that must be untangled if a peace accord is to be reached between Israel and the Palestinians.

Bryan Fischer – Lower the Age of Consent and try 12 year olds for the death penalty.
Posted by Joel in Religion and Politics on November 24, 2010
“We should roll back secondary education to the point where our students are graduating from high school by age 16. We can teach them everything they need to learn at the secondary level by then, and prepare them for the next stage in life, which could be further education, apprenticeship, or vocational education. We should expect them to be launching into some kind of career trajectory by the time they are 16.
“There are implications in all of this for the institution of marriage. By idolizing adolescence, we have artificially prolonged the age at which people enter in marriage. The average is now, according to 2007 figures, about 27.5 years for men and 25.6 for women. But the young men and women whom God has created become sexually mature by their mid-teens. The bodies that God has created are ready for sexual intimacy by the time they are 16. Unless God has made a mistake in the way he has designed our sexuality, then we need to rethink our whole understanding of the optimum age for entering into marriage.” – American Family Association radio host Bryan Fischer, saying he agrees with Iranian president Mahmoud Admadinejad and “the Jews” and that children should be ready to marry by age 16. Fischer also says that children as young as 12 should be tried as adults and subject to the death penalty.

I guess I understand this. I am not going to tell you what I really hear when I read something like this, I mean, about lowering the age of consent. But, it is really disturbing when I hear that children as young as twelve should be tried for the death penalty.
And, as you might suspect, I am completely against the death penalty.

Eugene Delgaudio: TSA Pat Downs are a part of the Homosexual Agenda
Posted by Joel in Religion and Politics on November 20, 2010

The letter starts innocently enough –
Dear Joel –
But, quickly digresses –
You’ve seen the news reports and heard the horror stories.
The TSA’s new “enhanced pat downs” (i.e. sexual assault searches) and their “advanced imaging technology” (i.e. naked scanners).
Leaked x-ray images of men and women that show their naked bodies have flooded the internet.
Screaming children have been groped and woman sexually assaulted.
And if that weren’t enough, TSA proudly trumpets their hiring policy of “Non-Discrimination.”
It’s the federal employee’s version of the Gay Bill of Special Rights and it’s infiltrated our government with the Transportation Safety Administration not excluded.
That means the next TSA official that gives you an “enhanced pat down” could be a practicing homosexual secretly getting pleasure from your submission.
Or it could be any sexual pervert, homosexual or heterosexual, or even pedophile that operates the “naked scanner”.
That means the next TSA official that operates the “porno scanners” you or your child or mother walk through could be lusting after the image on his screen.
The thought makes me sick.
But it’s all for your safety, they say.
It’s the terrorists. If you don’t submit to their humiliating fondling and photographing, the terrorists will win.
That’s hogwash and I won’t stand for it!
I want you to call your Senators and INSIST they respect the fact that:
1. Any unsolicited touching is assault.
2. Any unsolicited photography is an invasion of privacy.
Period. End of story.
Call the Congressional Switch Board at (202) 224-3121
Give the operator your state and say you have a message for your senators.
Thanks for standing up for our rights as we enter this holiday season.
Sincerely,
Eugene Delgaudio
President
Public Advocate of the U.S.
Ugh. Sorry, Eugene, but the pat-downs is not apart of the homosexual agenda. It is the direct result of the terrible combination of political correctness and willingly giving up our freedom and liberty our of fear.
Don’t give into fear here either.
